Parking Lot Reconstruction and Stabilization Project
This project involved the complete renovation of a deteriorated 3-acre parking lot to create a durable and efficient layout for heavy-duty truck traffic.
Key aspects included:
-
Concrete Removal: Over 3 acres of failing concrete pavement were carefully removed and exported off-site to clear the area for redevelopment.
-
Enhanced Site Layout: A new parking lot layout was designed, featuring heavy-duty concrete aprons at both entrances. These aprons were significantly widened to accommodate large truck traffic.
-
Subsoil Stabilization: Due to unsuitable subsoils, the entire parking area was cement-stabilized after being cut to subgrade. This process ensures a strong, stable base for paving and curbing, delivering trouble-free, long-lasting performance for heavy-duty use.
-
Dock Area Improvements: Heavy-duty concrete was poured and finished in the docking area, and a new retaining wall was constructed to address elevation changes and improve functionality.
This complete transformation ensures the parking lot can handle the demands of heavy truck traffic while providing a durable, efficient solution for years to come. Richmond Excavating delivers quality craftsmanship and expertise tailored to every project’s needs.
